One Easter our English Bulldog Boru got hold of my daughter's Easter basket. She only likes peanut butter with milk chocolate candies so he ate a good size package, wrappers and all of Reese's peanut butter cups. I immediately called the ASPCA poison control to ask if we needed to do anything. While on the phone with them, he was drinking an absorbent amount of water due to the peanut butter consumed. The ASPCA asked me several questions, such as what kind of chocolate it was, how much did he consume and his weight. They assured me that he'd probably be ok but then asked if he was presently acting ok, was he energetic or lethargic…..just as I was about to answer, Boru let out a huge "BUUUURRRRP" that even the lady on the phone heard. She said he sounds like he's doing just fine, and I said, yeah I'm sorry for wasting your time.
